When and where is the best time to arrange the meeting point at the airport?

You/the participants should plan their arrival in Germany so that they are at the airport at least 2 hours before departure. Please also always have a look at the holiday calendar, as the waiting time at the airports increases enormously during this peak travel period. At international airports, we recommend arriving at least 3 hours in advance (especially in the US and Israel).

Depending on whether the group is arriving as a group or in a star formation, the following meeting points are best:

  • In front of the respective airline check-in counter

The group can check in together here

Not recommended if traveling with hand luggage only or already checked in online

  • At the respective departure gate

The group can spend the waiting time together until boarding

Especially recommended if the group has checked in decentrally

  • After customs inspection upon arrival

The group can gather after customs control if there is a subsequent joint transfer to the accommodation/location

  • At the meeting point in the arrivals hall

The group can gather after customs control in the respective arrival hall (meeting point).

Particularly recommended if the group should arrive in a star pattern from different airports.
