With many (scheduled) airlines, a certain percentage of the booked group size can be reduced free of charge up to a fixed point in time. If you have already made a down payment to Intertours, you will receive a credit note for the person who canceled free of charge at the time the ticket is issued and the amount will of course be credited with the next payment run after the account number has been disclosed.
With the typical low-cost carriers, such as Ryanair, Easyjet and Wizz Air, cancellation and refunds are non-existent.
If you have taken out travel cancellation insurance, inform them about the incident and submit the documents you have to claim back the travel price in the event of a claim.
