What happens in the event of a travel policy violation?

You can handle policy violations in a number of ways:

  • action-based plot
  • additional approval process or notification

Action based act

When you create a travel policy, you define an action. This action can be a reason (free text or dropdown) or it can prevent the booking.

Approval Process (Approval Workflow)

You also have the option of using our (optional) workflow engine.

With this you are able to provide policy violations (or other flexible events) with an approval process.

Notification

Another very effective and efficient option is to send notifications.

Example based on an A1 procurement process:

In the event of a business trip outside of Germany and within Europe, the HR department should receive a notification to initiate the A1 certification process.
