What happens after my booking - and do I need to do anything?

The short answer: Nothing. We handle it and are trying to reduce the cost for your company.

Once your flight or hotel is booked through Intertours, a continuous price monitoring system runs in the background - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, without any action required from you. If the price for your exact flight or hotel drops below a defined threshold, we automatically rebook you to the lower-priced option.

You don't need to check, compare, or request anything.

What happens after your booking — step by step

  1. Booking confirmation: You receive your travel documents as usual.
  2. Price monitoring starts: From this moment, the system continuously monitors whether your booked flight or hotel price drops.
  3. Price reduction detected: When the price for your exact booking falls below the savings threshold, we automatically rebook you.
  4. New travel documents: You receive updated booking confirmations — via email, just like your original booking.
  5. Savings are credited: Your company receives a portion of the realized net savings. No further steps needed.

When is monitoring active?

Flights: Up to 12 hours before departure (as long as no check-in has occurred)

Hotels: Up to 12 hours before the free cancellation period begins or before arrival

Monitoring runs 24/7 — including nights and weekends.

Do I get new tickets or booking confirmations?

Yes. With every successful rebook, you receive new travel documents. The previous version becomes invalid. Please use the most recently received confirmation for boarding, check-in, and hotel arrival. The issue date on your document confirms you have the current version.

What happens to my seat?

Our system guarantees the same seat type. If you booked a window seat, you remain in a window seat. In 96% of automated rebookings, we secure the exact same seat.

Rebookings are only made on the same airline, same cabin class (Business remains Business, Economy remains Economy), and same fare type. You will never fly in a lower cabin class than originally booked.

What about hotels - do I get the same room?

Yes. The system guarantees the same room type and bed configuration. Example: If you booked a room with a view, you stay in a room with a view. We always search for the same hotel, same room type, and same cancellation policy — no alternatives, no hotel switches.

With hotels, you experience the savings directly at checkout: you simply pay less than you originally expected.

Which bookings are not monitored?

CategoryReason
Flights under EUR 200Savings potential after fees not economical
Low-cost airlines (LCC)Fare and rebooking structure incompatible
Prepaid hotel bookingsNo changes possible after payment
Accessible roomsExcluded as standard — no modifications
Below minimum savings thresholdBelow EUR 30 (flight) / EUR 20 (hotel) rebooking not economical

My data - what is shared?

Your personal data is fully anonymized before transmission. The system stores no personal data in databases, logs, or debug records. Data storage is on Amazon Web Services with a server location in Ireland — fully GDPR-compliant.
