How does group check-in work?

In principle, you or each individual passenger have several options:

• Web or online check-in 
• Mobile-check-in 
• Check-in-machine at the airport 
• Check-in-counters at the airport 

Check-in basics

Depending on the airline and route and due to EU data protection law, the selection of check-in options may be limited and is subject to availability. 

A repeated check-in is also possible. If you forgot your printed boarding pass at home, that's no problem. You can check in as often as you like and in different ways (online/on site at the airport).

Necessary data

For many destinations, in order to complete the check-in process, you need not only the log-in data such as the name and the booking code or the ticket number, but also the passport data: 

• Travel document to be traveled with (passport or identity card)
  
• passport number 
  
• date of issue 
  
• place of issue
  
• period of validity 
  
• birth date
  
• Emergency contact (mobile phone number or email address of the passenger)

Intertours therefore recommends not checking in for third parties, but rather letting each passenger check in individually. 

Overview of the airlines

The online check-in opens differently depending on the airline, here is an overview of the pages and times of the most important airlines: 

For Easyjet: Group can only be checked in as a group, make sure you have all check-in relevant data of the individual passengers before you start the process. At the beginning, check the box "No, someone else made the booking" in the login field.

In principle, the recommendation for online check-in is always to check in around 24 hours before departure, regardless of the airline, since no name changes are permitted after check-in has been completed!
