What are the advantages of a group flight compared to a single flight?

Regardless of the price, let's take a look at the conditions of a single flight together.

With a single flight, you can usually select the desired tariff at the time of booking, i.e.: 

• with or without checked baggage or board trolley
• cannot be rebooked / rebooked for a fee / rebooked free of charge
• Non-cancellable / cancellable for a fee / cancellable free of charge

However, the name must always be given at the time of booking and 100% paid directly.

Many airlines do not allow name changes on individual flights, or the low-cost carriers charge enormous fees for this.

Note: Name corrections are often possible until shortly before departure, i.e. up to a maximum of 3 wrong letters, provided the name does not result in a new name.

The great advantage of group bookings is the desired flexibility, since groups are usually booked with a longer advance booking period in order to secure cheaper prices:

• Number of persons

In the case of a group booking, the number of people is booked first and the names only have to be announced shortly before departure (according to airline regulations). So you can sit back and relax and there is no personal reference until the final ticket issuance.

• Name change / name corrections

A person traveling with you cannot take the flight and should now be replaced by another person OR the colleague's name is not Benny but Bernhard? - No problem! The name can usually be changed before and sometimes even after the ticket has been issued.

• Change in group size / cancellation of individuals

Oh dear, you got the group size wrong? - No worries! According to airline regulations, part of the group can often still be canceled free of charge as long as the minimum group size is met.

• Various payment methods

Not sure if the booking exceeds your credit card limit? - No barrier! You can usually choose from various deposit options and if people are later canceled/reduced free of charge, the money will of course be returned.

• Baggage

With many airlines, we can reduce the ticket price a little further by not booking checked baggage, but only taking hand baggage into account.
